Ep. 8 – with doctor Cæcilie Johansen about botox

I have doctor and makeup lover Cæcilie Johansen over for a talk about beauty and botox. Cæcilie is writing her PhD in dermatology, That means, that she is on her way to becoming a dermatologist. In addition, she herself is a user of botox. On the instagram profile @makeupandmedicine.dk she shares her vast knowledge of skin diseases, skin care and skin treatments with a good pinch of humour.

MY BOTOX EXPERIENCE 🇩🇰 Below 👇🏻 PR treatment/unpaid ad/reklame See my highlight and read my previous post for details on how botox works & side effects. Sorry about the difference in the lighting, the ring light blurs out some details 😬🙈 TREATED AREAS Frownlines and tiny brow lift. VERDICT This is my second botox treatment and I’m absolutely thrilled. Due to the talented hands of my injector, we’ve found the perfect spot where my frownlines are muted, while still preserving balanced and natural facial expressions. CONCLUSION I’m really happy with the results and I consider botox a great supplement to my anti-aging skincare regimen👌🏻In any case, botox should be done delicately and by a trained professional. On the other hand, vivid facial expressions with the following wrinkles give so much character to a face – just look at Meryl Streep and Anthony Hopkins (seriously, his forehead is mesmerising). Have you tried botox or considered it? How was your experience? 🇩🇰 Botulinum toxin is a safe drug, used to treat wrinkles in soon 20 year. The effect is reversible, this means that the effect is not permanent, but gradually diminishes to be gone after 3-4 months. MY EXPERIENCE At @kliniknage I have had botulinum toxin placed between the eyebrows, as well as a discreet eyebrow lift to slightly lift my heavy eyelids. I have achieved the perfect sweet spot, where I: 1) both have had the worry wrinkle between the brows dampened (who had otherwise settled down well due to screen work and life with three small children). As well as the deep ones “Dylan McKay”-lines in the lower part of the forehead are muted 2) still has a fine facial expression with harmonious movement in the forehead 👌🏻 Most important of all is, that I feel 100% safe in Else's knowledgeable hands, which is absolutely essential to achieve a good experience with botox. CONCLUSION I am very happy with the result, where I have become free of the chronic tension in the forehead with the resulting wrinkles and at the same time have a harmonious facial expression. Thus, botulinum toxin is a really nice supplement to my anti-ageing skin care. Continued in comment 👇🏻
