Dainty feet with Callusan? – Salli tests foot care

Callusan, foot foam, foot care, foot cream, dry feet, carbamid, carbamidcreme

I have always been on the spot, when I have heard about new foot creams and have therefore had my fingers (or the feet, hehe) in many products, because as a model it is necessary to be well-groomed. Throughout. With psoriasis on my feet, I have an extra challenge, because it is far from everything that helped my feet which constantly look extremely dry! Good foot creams were and still are therefore indispensable for me. This is both to camouflage the skin disease as best as possible, so that it could not be seen in pictures or in open shoes, but also because the delicate skin on and especially under the soles of my feet is sore, especially after many hours of walking or standing, as I do, for example, on a photoshoot.

I did not know the foot care line Callusan from Greppmayr Footcare, until I was recently introduced to it. For many years I myself have suffered with psoriasis on e.g. my feet, so foot care and good foot creams have always been a must for me now as well as in my modeling career. My curiosity was heightened, when I read a little more about the products. Callusan is a line of cream mousses, there is a lot of use, cooling and so has a much longer shelf life, than if, for example, they came in a cream tube.

Something that particularly appeals to me about Callusan is, that they recognize, that different feet have different needs and problems. That's why there are cream mousses in the series 8 different products targeted to different needs. Three of them are perfume-free, dyes and preservatives. They are therefore particularly suitable for diabetics and allergy sufferers, or if you simply want to protect yourself from such things. The remaining have different mild, delicious scents. callusan, foot care, foot cream, foot foam, dry feet, psoriasis

After I got my hands on the products, I quickly found out, that Callusan is a beauty brand of really good quality. The products are (incredibly enough!) still relatively unknown in Denmark, but on closer acquaintance I found out, that Callusan is very popular in, for example, Germany. Pga. the brand's innovative approach to foot care, their products are recommended by the German Diabetes Association. Diabetic patients often suffer from foot problems, and their feet therefore need extra care, and this is where the fantastic foot care from Callusan comes into the picture.

Callusan was developed based on the motto of, that dry skin first of all needs moisture – not cool! This does, that the foot foam is quickly absorbed and allows the skin to breathe. It does NOT leave the familiar greasy film on the skin, which honestly doesn't seem to feel very delicious. I have during the period I tested it, therefore been happy to use it before bed or just before I get dressed, because the foam is quickly absorbed by the skin, then it doesn't grease bedding or socks. Big bonus!

8 cream mousse targeted at different needs:

Callusan Forte:
Contains 15% urea (also called carbamide), which adds intensive care and lots of moisture to hard and cracked skin. Avocado oil and shea butter soften. Can also be used as nail care, where it softens cuticles and cares for brittle and dull nails. Free of perfume and dyes.

Callusan Extra:
With 10 % urea adds moisture to the skin. Squalane, with its high content of antioxidants, will regenerate the skin cells and has a protective and softening effect. It also serves as a vehicle for other fat-soluble substances, that can penetrate faster and deeper into the skin. Free of perfume and dyes.

Callusan Hydro:
Contains 5% urea. Ideal for daily foot care. Restores the moisture balance in the skin and lets the moisture penetrate deep into the skin. Stearic acid protects the skin. Free of perfume and dyes.

Callusan Rapid:
Contains 5% Urea. The mousse is moisturizing and with extracts of Icelandic moss and blackcurrants it prevents athlete's foot. Free of perfume and dyes.

Callusan Mare:
Benefits the skin with its content of the good minerals of the sea and extract of brown algae. Has a nice clean’ smell.

Callusan Fresh:
This mousse protects against fungus and has antiperspirant to prevent odor formation. Fresh restores the skin's own moisture balance. It has a lovely citrus scent and feels refreshing on the feet, and is therefore ideal for during and after training. I enjoy, to use it on my feet after they have been for a walk in the running shoes.

Callusan Wine:
With extract of red vine leaves and horse chestnut. Menthol cools and refreshes legs and feet. Relieves the feeling of heavy feet and legs on those days, where you sit or stand a lot or for long flights. Added urea, glycerin, jojoba oil and shea butter, which cares for the skin. Can also be advantageously used under compression stockings, e.g. on runs.

Callusan Vital:
This mousse is the only one in the series that can be used all over the body. It has had a good effect on my dry skin on my thighs. Contains natural chamomile extract, jojoba oil and shea butter which soothes, moisturizes and cares for delicate skin. Vitamins A and E protect
and regenerates the skin and makes it resistant. The mousse is extremely delicious and feels pleasant and velvety to spread on the skin. It has a really delicious scent and is extremely easy to use – a small amount goes a long way, and it is really easy to spread, unlike thick creams such as body butters.

Among my favorites are Vital and Forte. Forte really did something good for my feet and with a few applications a day my skin looked really nice, even where I usually have attacks of psoriasis and it is a great relief for me, to have found a product that helps me better than anything I've tried before. Vital has become a favorite to use on dry areas of my body, and then I'm quite frankly addicted to the scent. I dry brushes often the body, and that therefore puts greater demands on my care routines afterwards, as you can be a little hard on the skin. Vital is therefore super in combination with dry brushing!

If I have to mention a minus about Callusan, it is the packaging. It's not super sexy. I miss something more aesthetic, if I wanted to flash it on the bathroom shelf. The design does not do the product justice. Of course, this has no influence on the effect of the mousse, but still. I still encourage you to try Callusan, if you want to do something good for your feet, suffer from dry skin or are diabetic.

Callusan can be bought from podiatrists and from I-Beauty.
