Salted almonds – a delicious healthy snack!

saltede mandler

When it comes to a healthy snack, then these salted almonds my absolute favorite. Almonds can for me be a little trivial to eat directly from the bag, so I like to do a little at them, so that they become a healthy snack, I eat with gusto. These salted almonds take my crawings after salted chips, and they are also good in salads and in lunchbox.

I have long days on the road, so I'll take a handful in your bag, so I have little to, if I were risking to fall for temptations like chips, popcorn m.m. If you are more into cashew may I recommend a look at my recipe for BBQ Cashews :-))

I'm actually a little captivated by these almonds, for they look so beautiful out with the white salt dust on themselves. Almost as if there has subsided frost over them.

The recipe here is for 200 g. almonds, but I can warmly recommend, making double portion now where you started – I do not think you will regret it! 🙂

Salted almonds
how to do it:

200 g. almonds with skins.
3½ tablespoon sea- eller Himalaya salt
2 dl. selling.

Boil the water with the salt until it is completely dissolved. Add the almonds and bring to the boil again. Remove from the heat and leave it with the lid on in 15 minutes. Si the water and pour the almonds on a baking sheet with baking paper. Put the plate with almonds in the oven 20 minutes at 150 grader. Allow to cool. When they are cold, they are quite brittle. Mums!

They can certainly keep long in a closed glass – but I have never tried to have them lying in more than a week 🙂
